What this dataset contains
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka compiles these indices from publicly listed asking prices using a hedonic rolling-window method. The platform keeps one row per month and property type. Later quarterly reports can revise earlier months; the latest published value is retained.
How it is used here
The chart follows all three Colombo District series. The table is asking prices, not completed sales.
What it cannot tell you
Coverage is Colombo District. These are asking-price indices, not transaction prices, the Land Valuation Indicator, or a listing-site scrape. The developer-survey Price Index for New Condominiums is a different series and is not in this table.
