The service
Developing Country brings public socioeconomic datasets, maps, and research together. These terms apply to developing-country.org, explore.developing-country.org, and the Developing Country MCP tools. Questions can be sent to ghoshanjega@gmail.com.
Accounts and connected tools
Keep your account access secure. Authorize an AI client only if you trust it to use the tools and information available through your account. Review requests before sharing private notes or locations. You are responsible for the content you submit and the actions you authorize through connected clients.
Evidence and decisions
Datasets can contain gaps, errors, estimates, or outdated observations. Check the source, date, coverage, and limitations before relying on a result. Maps and analysis are informational and do not replace official records, professional advice, or a site inspection. Verify information independently before consequential decisions.
Reuse and attribution
Third-party datasets and map services retain their own licences and attribution requirements. Follow the licence and source notes for each dataset you reuse. Public availability does not by itself grant permission to reuse every item. Cite the source and relevant dataset version when sharing findings.
Community contributions
Submit information you have the right to share. Do not post confidential information, another person's private details, unlawful material, or misleading reports. Reports and contributions intended for the community are publicly visible and may be displayed through the website and tools. Contact the maintainer if a public contribution needs correction or removal.
Responsible access
Do not attempt to access another user's private records, bypass authentication or rate limits, disrupt the service, or misuse credentials. Access may be restricted to protect users and keep the service available.
Availability and changes
The service and its features can change or become unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the completeness or accuracy of every result. These terms do not remove rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. Updated terms will be posted here with a revised date.
Privacy
The privacy policy explains account information, Google sign-in, saved activity, public contributions, and connected AI clients.
