What this dataset contains
National figures for 2021–2025 compiled by DCS with the Tea Board, Rubber Development Department and plantation ministries. Nineteen crops have reported extent and production. Areas are in hectares. Output is in metric tonnes except coconut, which is in millions of nuts. Source revision markers are retained; the 2025 rubber extent is identified as an estimate.
How it is used here
Track maize production or cultivated area, and compare tea output over time. Select one crop and measure before comparing years.
What it cannot tell you
Extent does not have a single agronomic meaning across all crops. The paddy extent is asweddumized land under major schemes, minor schemes and rainfed cultivation, rather than the seasonal sown or harvested area. Crop areas may overlap through multiple cropping and must not be summed as unique land. Do not calculate yields by dividing these output figures by incompatible area definitions. Coconut output uses a different unit from other crops. The estimated rubber area may change.
