What this dataset contains
This national layer currently contains two route features tagged for cycling on OpenStreetMap. It records what is mapped, rather than presenting a complete inventory of safe cycling infrastructure.
How it is used here
The map makes the shortage visible and gives future additions a clear place to appear. Other layers can be added to compare the routes with population, destinations and roads.
What it cannot tell you
Two mapped routes are not evidence that Sri Lanka has only two cycle routes. Informal paths, painted lanes and local projects may be absent, and the layer does not measure safety or physical separation from traffic.
