What this dataset contains
The demographic layer connects census population tables to provinces, districts, divisional secretariats and Grama Niladhari divisions. The platform holds 2012 and 2024 material so changes can be examined without hiding the census year.
How it is used here
Use the explorer to shade administrative areas by population and combine them with services or infrastructure. Every view should keep the census vintage attached.
What it cannot tell you
The 2024 Grama Niladhari join currently matches 97.43 per cent of identifiers, below the platform’s 98 per cent target. The published map tiles still use 2012 values while that join is resolved, so the interface must not present every small-area value as 2024 data.
