What this dataset contains
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka publishes NEER and REER for a 24-currency basket, rebased to 2017=100. The platform keeps one row per month and index. REER uses the rebased CCPI (2021=100) from February 2023, and partner-country CPI rebases from January 2026.
How it is used here
The chart compares NEER and REER across the published series. Latest months are provisional.
What it cannot tell you
REER is not a bilateral rupee/dollar rate. Partner-CPI and CCPI rebases create breaks that limit naive comparison across the full series.
