What this dataset contains
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka publishes monthly average and month-end rates as rupees per unit of foreign currency. The platform keeps one row per month, currency and rate kind, omitting source dashes rather than storing them as zero.
How it is used here
The chart follows the monthly average rupee/US dollar rate from 2019 onward. The table also retains month-end rates and the other published currencies.
What it cannot tell you
Euro and several other currencies are missing in earlier years; those months are absent rows, not zeros. These are CBSL published rates, not a parallel-market series.
