What this dataset contains
The 2025 Labour Force Survey annual report provides one national percentage and 25 district percentages for employed people aged 15 and over. Non-agricultural employment covers industry and services. The source classifies enterprises using registration, formal accounts and the number of regular employees. The report says 2025 estimates were reweighted using the 2024 Census population estimates.
How it is used here
Compare the informal-sector share of non-agricultural employment across districts. The national percentage is kept separately and excluded from the district ranking.
What it cannot tell you
This is enterprise-sector classification, which differs from whether an individual job is informal or lacks social protection. These percentages are shares within each district, not each district’s share of all informal workers; they cannot be added or averaged to obtain the national rate. Agricultural employment is excluded. Survey estimates have sampling uncertainty. Only 2025 is included, so the data does not establish a trend. Original district spellings are retained beside standardised labels.
