What this dataset contains
The platform samples ESA WorldCover 2021 v200 onto an equal-area 100 metre grid, counts classified pixels inside each district and derives class area and share. Shares use classified district pixels as the denominator.
How it is used here
The chart shows the modeled composition of Colombo District; the table contains every observed WorldCover class for each district.
What it cannot tell you
These are modeled, resampled estimates rather than field or cadastral measurements. WorldCover is categorical land cover, not NDVI or current vegetation condition, and the 2020 and 2021 products use different algorithms.
