What this dataset contains
National totals by council type for vehicular roads, dispensaries, cemeteries, parks and playgrounds, and libraries in 2024. DCS compiled these figures from returns submitted by local government institutions.
How it is used here
Compare the facilities reported by each council type. The main chart shows libraries; a second chart compares road length in kilometres.
What it cannot tell you
These are national aggregates for one year. They do not locate individual facilities, measure service quality or show access per resident. The published total overlaps the three council categories and must not be added to them. Counts of facilities and kilometres of roads have different units.
