What this dataset contains
Pocket Book 2025 Table 8.2 reports the Department of Motor Traffic stock by class. The platform keeps one national row per year and class, including the total. Special-purpose vehicles are unpublished for 2020–2021 and stored as null.
How it is used here
The chart follows the national total. Class shares remain in the table. This is not a district map.
What it cannot tell you
These are registered vehicles, not vehicles observed in use. Lorries and tractors are grouped as the source footnotes them. Road-length tables are not in this dataset.
