What this dataset contains
SLTDA figures reproduced in DCS tables 14.1–14.3: ten years of national arrivals, tourist nights, receipts and direct/indirect employment; establishments and employment by category for 2022–2025; and the purpose-of-visit distribution for 2017–2025. Currency and thousand-night units are retained. Indirect employment is explicitly identified as estimated, separately from provisional source flags.
How it is used here
Follow arrivals or tourist nights, compare direct and estimated indirect employment, or inspect visit purposes and establishment categories. Keep the national trend and category totals as separate representations of the same employment figures.
What it cannot tell you
Tourist nights are in thousands. Receipt currencies are alternative valuations, not amounts to add together, and the table does not document a constant-price adjustment. Indirect employment is estimated. Most 2025 establishment-category details are unavailable even though a total is reported; missing details and guide-establishment counts remain null. Dashes in earlier religious/cultural purpose shares mean nil or negligible rather than an exact zero. The source does not establish whether changing purpose shares reflect survey or classification changes. These are national figures, not district tourism exposure or accommodation room capacity. Annual receipts overlap the separate monthly tourism-earnings dataset and should not be added to it. In 2023, the published direct-employment total is 204,591 while its establishment categories sum to 204,501, a difference of 90 people. Both are retained without adjustment.
