What this dataset contains
The NWSDB 2024 annual report prints ten-year series for water production and consumption, non-revenue water, staff per 1,000 connections and the share of water samples passing bacteriological tests. These labelled figure values are preserved along with the more precise 2023–2024 non-revenue-water and staffing figures in table 5.
How it is used here
Compare production and consumption volumes, or inspect the reported non-revenue-water and bacteriological pass-rate histories. Filter by report section to choose the rounded historical figure or the more precise recent table.
What it cannot tell you
The figures describe NWSDB operations, not every water provider or household. Historical volume labels are rounded to million cubic metres; recomputing non-revenue water from them will not reproduce the unrounded underlying ratio. Non-revenue water includes more than physical leaks. Bacteriological pass rates describe tested samples, not population coverage or a guarantee for each connection. Table 5 wrongly labels staff per 1,000 connections as a percentage; figure 36 confirms that the measure is a staffing ratio. The original unit error is recorded in the affected cell notes. Overlapping table and figure observations must not be summed.
